Rocky chairs are functional pieces of art. Each one is individual and distinct. We buy old cinema and theatre chairs from a variety of sources. We always look for chairs that are striking and different - these chairs may be from 1950's, others over 100 years old! In making each Rocky chair we firstly restore and stain the original wood, then the cast iron frame is sand blasted and professionally painted. We re-upholster the seats and backrests with vibrant new fabrics. The rockers are made from locally sourced wood and finally the chairs are assembled. The chairs can be made to order.
